Blog Promo Posters

I've been looking at my old work stuff because I've been editing my showreel and one of the things that brought me pride and pleasure was this collection of posters I made to promote this blog. I think I may have in the past already posted these, but I just want to repost them to show people what I am talking about.

I have also made covers for my showreel CDs. I hope these help my showreels pop more and command attention. In this day and age, being forgettable is not really the way to go.

My New Resumés

It's job-hunting time and as always my dissociative identity disorder has turned up not one, but six different versions of my resumé. It had been more but these choices have actually been whittled down. In any case, I've tried different flavours, different formality levels and different inspirations and now I'm stuck not knowing which to use. Help!

Strike Out Corruption

Another recent poster I've done, this one a political fundraiser for my brother-in-law's bid as Orange County District Attorney. Notice the font I used in the title lends itself well to the motile feel of the poster.

MPIOC Rocks The Bayou

Here is a sample of a poster, postcard + peripheral set I made for a client recently. The theme was New Orleans and the bayous of Louisiana. I used a lighter shade of the swamp palette to make the posters feel brighter than what would normally be associated with marshlands.

DPOC Project 3

This is the approved version of the previous project. This one utilizes the standard letter size format on the vertical. The copy has been made less wordy and simplified, providing me the option to fit them into one page and to increase the size of certain fonts.

DPOC Project 2

Here is another commission from the Democratic Party of Orange County. This one is a study for flyers that can be given out to recruit interns for the DPOC this summer break. Although this is not the approved final version, I still like the colors and style I used in this one.

I made this for the DPOC page in the Orange County Labor Federation Awards souvenir program. There was a provided template that I revised to update both the text and the overall look.

Here are some work samples. I made these for an in-company promo to urge productivity within the employee ranks. I used a theme that is actually one of my favorites… old carnival posters.

Calling Cards

I'm trying to make new calling cards for work. I want these cards to reflect my graphic skills and the unique flavor of my work. For two days I've been struggling. It is not for a lack of ideas, mind you, but rather because I have too many. My creative juices, I must say, are on overdrive right now.

Here are my ideas. Maybe you guys can help me decide which one to use.
